:: Solitary Life ::
He was a young man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was 30, and then for three years he was an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled 200 miles from the place he was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but himself.
While he was still a young man, the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to his enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While he was dying his executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth, and that was his coat. When he was dead, he was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Nineteen centuries wide have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race, and the leader of the column of progress.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever sailed, and all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as has that ONE SOLITARY LIFE…
Jesus Christ lived that solitary life and died on the cross for you.
The Bible says that all of us are sinners (Romans 3:23) and even if we were very good we still couldn’t win our way to heaven. That is why God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the world to die on a cross and then three days later He was resurrected from the dead. When Christ died He paid for all our sins (1 Peter 2:24). This means that our debt with God has been paid for by Christ. We don’t have to pay for anything. Why? Because Christ paid for it all. Now then, what do we have to do to receive God’s forgiveness? We simply accept Jesus Christ as our savior. Do you believe that what takes you to heaven is not our own good works, but what Christ did for us on the cross? His sacrifice for us was sufficient enough for God to forgive us.
We need to put our trust in Him to
receive God’s free gift…
Jesus said: “Most assuredly, I say to you,
he who believes in Me has
EVERLASTING LIFE”
My friend, right now, why don’t you talk to God
and acknowledge you need him and receive Jesus as your savior? Ask him to forgive all of your sins by his sacrifice for you. The moment you do, you will receive the best gift of all,
ETERNAL LIFE.
“For the wages of sin Is death, but
THE FREE GIFT OF GOD IS
ETERNAL LIFE In Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
